Baker’s rack made over for Christmas with Annie Sloan chalk paint

In the process of decorating for Christmas, I decided to redo the baker’s rack with a little help from Annie Sloan, in old white.  The kitchen and family room were done in gold and red back when this before picture was taken. Since then, these rooms were given a new look with board and batten and Palladian blue, from Benjamin Moore on the walls.

The after is bright and beautiful! at least I think so and gives the space a completely different feel.

I added lots of greenery clipped from the yard and red and green Christmas decorations. The old wooden box was holding newspapers in the garage and it’s now looking great in its new home serving as a sort of shelf.

A little distressing makes the baker’s rack look aged.

I ‘m guilty of having way too many Christmas decorations in all colors, but I really like the red and lime green combination.

This little elf boot is one of my favorites.

I love this sign, let’s not forget the real reason for the season!
