Friday Feature, Amanda Carol at Home

Amanda Carol at Home is this weeks Friday feature. I had the pleasure of sharing a cab, that was really a limo, from the Haven conference to the airport. It saved us some money and was fun to chat with a fellow blogger. The driver heard our conversation about not seeing much of the city and gave us a mini tour since traffic was light.

Amanda knew as a child that she had a passion for interior design and has turned that passion into Amanda Carol Interiors where she offers in-home and on-line consultations.

Let’s take a tour of her beautiful home starting in the kitchen.

In her kitchen, blonde cabinets and ivy wallpaper (remember that very popular wallpaper?) were replaced by black cabinets and light colored walls for a much different and updated look.

I know I’ve seen this picture on Pinterest. Homemade lemonade!

dining room

This is one beautiful dining room but I think she wants to change the color. The décor changes quite often in her home. Send a kiss Cute doggie too. The rug is so pretty!

living room

The living room is open to the dining room. Can you believe that’s a thrift store coffee table? I think she’s taken off the sofa’s slipcover to reveal its cobalt blue color and added a cowhide rug in this room.

I am totally smitten by these simple curtain rods!

home office

Her home office is stunning! I love every detail, the colors, striped curtains and amazing dresser! It’s definitely a sophisticated look!

master bedroom2

The master bedroom  looks very luxurious and relaxing. The mirrored night stands and soft colors add to its romantic charm. I love the combination of soft blue and tan, it’s so soothing.

A cozy place for a chat in the master. Notice the chair detail and the classic style of the dresser.

Here’s a peek into her daughter’s room. I think most girls would love the pretty window fabric.

Another peek, this is the boys’ room. Love that dresser and the colors of this space.

laundry room3

The laundry room has evolved too and serves dual purpose as an entry way with plenty of hooks and baskets to stash your things. Everyone need a chandelier in the laundry room to make doing laundry feel like an elegant task!

From Amanda, “I find a real sense of joy and fulfillment helping others achieve their design dreams”.  Are you inspired? Check out her services and sample boards and favorite paint colors posts for even more inspiration.

I must have wandered into Carol’s blog before as I recognize the office and the boys’ room. That’s good to have something be so distinctive that it can not be anyone else’s. Lovely, lovely home.

It’s always fun to land here on Fridays!
