Fall is in the air. The nights are definitely getting cooler now and soon the days will be shorter. Are you ready to decorate for Fall? Here’s some of my fall décor from previous years to give you a little inspiration. Think apples, colorful leaves in shades of red and gold, pumpkins of all sizes and shapes and the smell of a fire in the fireplace. (Click on photos to be taken to original post.)
I got this old wicker planter several years ago at a yardsale for 5$ and it has served me well. It’s the perfect size for my small front porch. This is from 2009.
Embrace all that the season has to offer by decorating with leaves, twigs and apples. I used berries from a tree in the backyard and pushed apples onto twigs to add to this arrangement.
5 minutes to craft a burlap pumpkin. This project went viral last year and was pinned over and over.
It’s got to be just about the easiest project ever!
A smaller version of the original, I added a key embellishment on this blue pumpkin. The blue burlap was from the thrift shop and I’ve never seen any since.

Autumn leaves crafted from felt are great for the Thanksgiving table or for a banner hanging from your mantel. I sewed these to mimic the veins in a real leaf. Use real leaves for a template.
A pile of twigs becomes a wreath. This was another quick project that went viral. It could be used as a frame or on a table as part of a centerpiece.
On the porch last year, I created this arrangement with twigs and branches from the yard and added in some faux elements.
Last year’s mantel screams fall in bright orange.
I added sticks in with the faux leaves.
Yarn wreaths and felt flowers were a hot trend last year. This wreath was the centerpiece on the mantel.
Hot cider, I love the smell as much as the taste! Cinnamon and apples are one of my favorite combinations.

Apples are a big part of Fall and I do love them!
If you want a great apple dumpling recipe try mom’s apple dumplings or a crumb top apple pie. Delish!
I hope you’re a little bit inspired. Are you ready to decorate? Have any projects in mind? I’ve been thinking about decorating the front porch this year, trying to come up with something…..that’s coming soon.
It’s hard to see summer come to an end because that means winter is coming soon. That’s ok, I enjoy all the seasons. ![]()
Thanks for visiting! Debbie (((xx)))

Nope. Not ready yet. AC is still going and, though the nights are cooler, the days are plenty warm. Nearly 90F today. I even tried to change the blog look a little and make it a bit more autumnal…went directly back to what I already have. But the early bird gets the worm! And now you’ve reminded me that somewhere I have a little apple stuck on a little square twig wreath. Must go looking…
Some great ideas, Debbie! I’ve only got a couple of ideas for what I’d like to do inside for Fall, but I’m not ready to bring everything down from the attic yet. I’ll probably do much the same outside as I did last year, except I have an additional urn that I’ll probably put a big pumpkin in with some leaves.

Still very much summer here! Loved seeing your photos though.
I’ve been a bad blog friend. Life has been busy, but good. I did finally post something a night or two ago and I’ve promised myself I will get back to blogging. It’s important to me.
Big hugs,
Kat

I love, love, love your teal pumpkin and twig wreath. So cute! I am definitely excited about fall too. I just plugged it a fall air freshener to get the season started.
Thanks for sharing the inspiration!
What an inspiring tuiotral! My mind started swirling with all the possibilities. I even liked the wreath before step 5 !!! Christmas is over. I really don’t want to keep my very Christmasy looking wreath up. Now I have inspiration to create something new and fresh yet appropriate for my snowy north east location. Blessings to you!
