This week’s feature is Mary’s blog, At Home on the Bay. The bay is Blue Hill Bay in the Down East area of Maine. The home is over 100 years old, has good bones and lots of pretty details like crown molding and old wide pine floors and then there’s the view of the lovely bay.
This colorful plate wall is in the dining room and sets the tone for the colors throughout the house.

Reds and aquas really pop against the neutral background of the sofa.
Mary made these pretty pillows and shares some great pillow tutorials on her blog.
She takes some pretty pictures too! I love this sweet vase.
There are just a few touches of blue on the walls, table and in the window treatments in her bright kitchen.
The owl cookie jar is adorable.
She describes her style as simple, light, and airy with lots of texture and handmade items. That’s a perfect description of this room……simple but beautiful.
More pretty color is found in this corner cabinet, it’s Antibes green from Annie Sloan. The complete tutorial is found on her blog.
Here are more pretty pillows made by Mary. If you love pillows be sure to check out her great tutorials.
She paints too! This must be the bay!
Mary sews, paints and rocks some power tools! And loves to yarddsale!
I’d be happy to take these pretty vases off her hands and the blue ones under the painting.
She made this headboard and painted the fabric, made the sign and sewed up the pillows! You go girl! She’s one creative gal. To see what she creates next, stop by and pay her a visit At Home on the Bay.
With so many great blogs all over the blog-o-sphere, Friday Feature is a way to showcase other bloggers while gaining lots of decorating inspiration. If you have a project or makeover that you think is feature worthy, please email me.
